2011 is the International Year of Forests, and September 21 was designated as Canada's official National Tree Day.
What do you think the forests are for in a country such as Canada, where 91% of our forests are owned by our provincial or federal governments? Where do you draw the line in a battle of economics versus the environment? Mark Hubert of the Forest Products Association of Canada and Faisal Moola of the David Suzuki Foundation discuss the future of Canada's forests.
Teachers: Show this webcast in your classroom and take advantage of the opportunity to discuss with your students—during this International Year of Forests—some of the issues surrounding Canada's boreal forest.
